How To Save With Lowe’s Price Promise Program

Sales events, loyalty programs, and weekly ads are some of the most popular ways to save at many retailers, including Lowe’s. However, they are not the only ones, as many stores run additional programs to enable customers to save even further.

When it comes to home improvement products and projects, one’s expenses can easily add up. To enable shoppers of all budgets to stock up on the items they need, Lowe’s runs the Price Promise program in addition to the store’s regular deals and sales events. Whether you’re on the lookout for new products to improve your home or complete your work-related projects, here is everything you need to know about Lowe’s price match program and how it can help you save.

What Is Price Match?

Before diving into Lowe’s Price Promise program, let’s see what this type of program entails and how it usually works. A price-match program enables customers to purchase goods at the lowest available price across various stores.

If you find an identical product being sold at a lower price in a competitor’s store, the retailer with the price match program will match or even beat that price. Each price-match program comes with specific terms and conditions that customers need to adhere to benefit from the price-match benefits.

What Is Lowe’s Price Promise and How Does It Work?

While Lowe’s offers different ways to save throughout the year, the retailer’s Price Promise program is also worth considering, given that it is quite straightforward to benefit from. Lowe’s is committed to helping shoppers find competitive prices every day, both online and in-store, hence the retailer’s Price Promise program.

The program works like many other such programs, so if you find a current lower price on an identical in-stock item at another local or online retailer from the ones listed below, Lowe’s matches the price at the time of purchase. According to the information available on the retailer’s dedicated page, Lowe’s Price Promise includes the price of the item(s) plus shipping or delivery costs.

If you want to benefit from this program in-store, simply bring in the ad, printout, or photo that shows the lower price on an identical item at one of the eligible local retailers, show it to a Lowe’s associate, or go to the customer service desk. Once they’ve validated your request, they will price-match the item in question.

In case you can’t reach your local Lowe’s, you can request a price match online. Just visit the Lowe’s Price Promise page and click on the “Request a Price Match” button. You can also contact customer support at the phone number available on the same page or chat for validation.

Online Retailers Lowe’s Price Promise Will Match

One of the things that make some price-match programs better than others is the eligible stores the program will provide a price-match for. Thankfully, Lowe’s will price-match several online retailers, as listed below:

  • Ace Hardware
  • Amazon
  • Bed Bath & Beyond
  • Best Buy
  • Home Depot
  • JCPenney
  • Tractor Supply
  • Wayfair
  • Walmart

There are some exclusions, though. The retailer won’t match prices from one Lowe’s store location to another or from one zip code to another. Make sure to visit the store’s price-match policy page whenever you’re interested in a price match, as they may update it with new information regarding the program.

Lowe’s Price Promise Exclusions

As we’ve said above, each price-match program includes certain conditions that need to be met in order to price-match, as well as exclusions. For example, Lowe’s won’t price match competitors’ pricing for professional services, including labor and installation costs, and custom products, meaning customized or configured products, such as custom cabinets, windows, and blinds.

In addition to the exclusions mentioned earlier, Lowe’s Price Promise comes with the following restrictions:

  • Price Promise can’t be combined with any other Lowe’s promotion, offer, or coupon.
  • The program doesn’t cover discontinued, used, refurbished, open-box, clearance, seasonal, closeout, or damaged merchandise.
  • The program excludes pricing from membership-based retail wholesalers.

Moreover, while Amazon is among the qualifying online retailers Lowe’s will price-match, Lowe’s only price-matches items sold by Amazon online and not by a third-party seller on Amazon. Also, according to the information available at the time of our research, the Price Promise program excludes rebates, free offers, BOGO offers, sales tax promotions or tax-free events, and specific one-time-only promotions, including seasonal promotions. The Price Promise policy may be updated, so make sure to check whenever you want to benefit from the advantages of this program.
